Frontline will assess the requirement of and recommend suitable portable fire extinguishers for the subject site. We will determine the appropriate positioning of these units and complete all reviews in compliance to AS 2444-2001. Maintenance of the extinguishers will also be carried out in compliance with AS 1851-2012. All these measures are taken to provide peace of mind to owners and occupants through the knowledge that they are being protected by the appropriate equipment for any possible hazard assessed. All recommendations are provided in a written format detailing relevant information from the type, size and location of all portable fire fighting equipment being recommended to assist in the selection process.

The log books act as a way of both explaining legislative requirements for owners as well as documenting maintenance being carried out by specific contractors. Frontline can both provide and upkeep this document for the property owner. In addition the log book will carry all relevant information relating to contractor sign sheets, determinations, condition reports and the Annual Essential Safety Measures Report.

Frontline assist their clients in meeting their ESM compliance requirements through the inspection and review of fire protection equipment to assess that all components are in good working order, free of damage, un-authorised alterations, un-compromised and compliant with AS 1851-2012. The survey will test all systems so that comfort can be gained that they will be able to perform under a hazardous situation. The overall aim of passive systems is to contain the fire by: - Use of fire rated partitions and doors to prevent the fire and smoke from moving from one compartment to another. - Delaying the collapse of the building structure. - Delaying the growth of the fire.

Frontline will carry out PFS inspections with the goal of ensuring compliance of all ESM Passive items. Any non-compliant items are bought to the attention of the property manager along with recommendations towards corrective action and upkeep of maintenance schedules. Once compliance has been established Frontline will certify all PFS Items through an annual system condition report to AS 1851-2012 standards. Common PFS Items include the following components: Fire Doors, smoke walls, fire resistant walls, fire resistant glazing, fire resistant duct work, fire resistant control joints, fire resistant structural elements (beams, columns etc)

Along with the PFS Inspection and Contractor Audits, Frontline can also issue a certified Essential Safety Measures Report. This report is a requirement as per the Vic Building Regulations 2006 and needs to be readily available upon request by the Chief Officer or Municipal Building Surveyor. The ESM Audits and Certificate is key in certifying all ESMs and PFSs are operating as intended and gives all individual stakeholders in the premises comfort as to the buildings ability to perform and protect inhabitants during a fire hazard.

As required, Frontline can provide contractor audits and reports. This ensures clients have comfort of mind when it comes to ensuring specialist Essential Safety Measure contractors are completing any maintenance to the buildings in accordance with either the Occupancy Permit Determination or Maintenance Standards applicable. Any non-compliance with current standards is quickly identified and brought to the attention of the property manager to rectify any critical and non critical defects which may render the buildings performance as un-safe during a fire hazard.

New standards require evacuation diagrams to be placed in common areas and must be orientated to the direction of exit. Diagrams must display a validity date, version control and be reviewed at intervals no greater than 5 years.
